Sebastian has once again stirred up excitement in the VeChain (VET) community with a tweet teasing: “Bridges, Super-Apps & Renaissance: VeChain’s 2025 Megaloop Activation.” When you think of VeChain, picture blockchain stepping out of the tech bubble and into the real world.
Over the years, VeChain has carved out its niche by making supply chains more transparent, whether that’s ensuring farm-to-table food safety, verifying luxury goods, or tracking products across industries. It operates on a dual-token model: VET for transferring value and VTHO to power transactions.
In his X thread, Sebastian lays out the progress VeChain has made and explains why we’re entering what he calls “The Megaloop Era”, a self-reinforcing cycle where each upgrade fuels the next, creating a snowball effect that accelerates adoption the bigger it grows.
The Vechain Nodes
The first stage, where the Bridge Awakens, focuses on interoperability. He points out the recent partnership made between Wanchain and Vechain. As we explained in a report, this collaboration allows VeChain to connect to more than 40 blockchains like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, USDC, Solana (SOL), and Ripple (XRP).
Next up is The Super-App, VeWorld. He describes it as more than just a wallet; it’s a fully decentralized, self-custody command center with over 4 million downloads. VeWorld lets users manage wallets, track crypto portfolios, buy crypto directly, and Stake VET.
With VeWorld, users can also jump into VeBetter’s ecosystem of apps like GreenCart, which encourages eco-friendly shopping, and Cleanify, promoting environmental cleanups. The most recent one is Build Your Body, a fitness-focused app that was unveiled during the UFC 317 in June.
Another vital piece of the puzzle is VeBetterDAO, which changes the whole idea of blockchain governance. Instead of just voting based on how many tokens you hold, VeBetterDAO rewards users with B3TR tokens for taking real-world positive actions, like supporting sustainability or health, that are verified on the blockchain.
It’s VeChain’s way of turning crypto participation into a lifestyle, not just an investment. To describe this, he says, “Run a marathon? Plant trees? Choose sustainable food?- Earn $B3TR tokens.”
On July 1, VeChain launched its StarGate staking mechanism, which is a key part of their 2025 Roadmap called the VeChain Renaissance. He goes on, “Welcome to the StarGate Staking Revolution, this is what powers the Megaloop engine.”
StarGate is being called the “Staking Revolution” because it introduces NFT-based staking, letting users earn up to 35,000 VTHO daily, while other node tiers, like Thunder X, offer steady rewards, around 9,800 VTHO per day, with returns up to 9.1% plus governance participation. StarGate also includes a bonus pool of 5.48 billion VTHO specifically for VET holders.
What’s cool about it is that staking becomes more flexible and engaging compared to traditional lock-in models, since users can trade or transfer their staking NFTs.
The Renaissance Upgrade is unfolding in phases: Phase 1, called Galactica, kicks off the journey with a Dynamic Gas Fee Model and improved compatibility with the Shanghai Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM); Phase 2, Hayabusa, focuses on overhauling VeChain’s economic system and ramping up decentralization by updating the consensus protocol to improve scalability; and Phase 3, Intergalactic, aims to prepare VeChain for widespread global adoption, making sure it can smoothly interact with other blockchains while introducing a dynamic transaction fee mechanism.
He also highlights VeChain’s exciting new partnership with Franklin Templeton, BitGo, and Keyrock as a key part of its growth. Franklin Templeton has brought VeChain on board through its tokenized fund, BENJI, which, as we mentioned last week, gives investors tokenized access to a massive $780 million Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX).
