The Solana network is adopting artificial intelligence to accelerate the interaction between its network and its users. According to a recent announcement shared by Solana, an open-source plug-in on OpenAI’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ChatGPT, will allow users to interact with the Solana network.
Users can carry out a variety of actions while interacting with ChatGPT on the Solana network. Solana users can access their wallet balances and transfer tokens to other users. Users can also carry out NFT purchases as soon as the plugins are made available to the public.

Network developers are also encouraged to test the plugins and even launch their unique versions. “Developers who want to test this out and launch their own version can dig into the code here,” Solana noted in another tweet.
Mixed reactions have surfaced since the announcement was made. The reception from a handful of Solana users was largely positive. Many commended Solana for adopting AI, despite the incessant controversy from other industry players.

Meanwhile, some users were not very pleased with the rollout, as they requested a block explorer instead, and further proposed that a good place to start would be replicating all the charts and data available on etherscan for Solana.
Solana increases exposure to AI by allocating funds to AI-related projects
Solana’s most recent involvement with AI hints that the network does not intend to slow down anytime soon. In an attempt to stay ahead, as adoption for AI rises, Solana is throwing millions of dollars into AI-related projects.
On the 25th of April, the Solana Foundation announced that it was allocating a $1 million grant to ecosystem teams that are committed to building AI tools that utilize Solana.
The announcement explained that Solana’s high throughput and scalability open the pathway for unique opportunities to build fresh ideas using artificial intelligence. The grants are intended to encourage the entire Solana ecosystem to explore new use cases of novel technologies.
Developers eligible for the grant must make tools or applications that are open-sourced after launch, publicly available to other users, and have sources available to the Solana Foundation.
