A public display of the Bitcoin White Paper now occupies a space in the Plaza de la Independencia in Mérida, Mexico. This city, the capital of Yucatán state, hosted the event as part of a broader initiative to increase adoption and education of the digital currency. The exhibition formed a core part of the recent Startup Day gathering.

Startup Day brought together leaders and entrepreneurs from the Bitcoin space. The community accelerator PlebLab and the neobank Yopaki organized the event. It coincided with a Bitcoin Block Party in Mexico.

Following the event, PlebLab announced the inauguration of a physical space named White Paper House. This center will focus on education and property innovation driven by Bitcoin.

The effort aims to support early-stage Bitcoin builders by providing mentorship and resources. A team from the Tokyo Bitcoin Base community also participated. Their goal involves contributing to project development, including initiatives designed to assist indigenous groups in Mexico. The public exhibition of the White Paper acts as a physical anchor for its principles, seeking to make them accessible to a wider audience.

Interest in Bitcoin within Mexico has accelerated the growth of communities promoting circular economies for the digital currency. For example, Puerto Bitcoin Mazatlán recently became the 40th member of the Latin Bitcoiners Federation. Separately, a café called Bitcoin Isla began accepting payments in satoshis, the smallest unit of bitcoin, in August 2025. These developments point to a gradual integration of Bitcoin into local commerce.
