What is Dogecoin?

Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency created by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer. It was released on December 6, 2013. Dogecoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency based on the doge meme. The price of 1 DOGE to Dollar is $0.19 as of July, 2021. Compared to Bitcoin, Dogecoin is an open-source, decentralized peer-to-peer network that utilizes a proof-of-work consensus algorithm. The network therefore relies on miners to validate transactions and secure the network from bad actors who would seek to manipulate the blockchain's record of transactions. The price of Dogecoin has already taken a turn for the worse over the past couple of weeks. And unless it develops a way to stay competitive, there's a good chance it won't survive over time. So no matter how inexpensive it is, it's still a dangerous investment. It has quite evidently lost its thunder, and though it could possibly reach the $1 mark, it's not crypto that you can invest in for the long term. Dogecoin offers virtually no utility to its owners in comparison to other cryptocurrencies.
Many Dogecoin investors have also made a lot of money. From what we've seen so far, trading DOGE can be a great way to make lots of money from the cryptocurrency market. The coin has the potential to be a lucrative short-term investment, but investors must learn to time the market. The easiest way to buy DOGE and cryptocurrencies using cash or credit card on the Binance Exchange.
