Regarding the crypto ETF market, its president for the ETF Store, Nate Geraci, has stated that the market will likely experience a lot of growth in 2025. Geraci, who made several precise comments regarding Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, stated that the size of the Bitcoin spot ETFs will surpass the size of physical gold ETFs. This development reinforces the trends indicating that digital assets now accept mainstream investment characteristics.
New Crypto-Related ETFs Expected to Launch
ETF expert Geraci expects at least 50 new crypto-related ETFs by the end of 2025 to bring more investors closer to digital assets. These products will include options-based products, covered call ETFs, defined outcome ETFs, Bitcoin/Dollar convertible ETFs, and “Bitcoin bond” ETFs, reported CNF.
He expects that spot ETFs for Solana and XRP will be approved soon. However, according to Bloomberg analysts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart, Litecoin and Hedera are likely to be acquitted first. They explained that their funding model is permissible by law because Litecoin will be considered a commodity in the United States, not a security. This classification would make it easier for the regulatory agency Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to approve it.
Expansion of Trading and Investment Opportunities
Spot Ethereum ETF options trading is also expected to get regulatory approval in 2025, bringing investors more instruments for hedging and speculation. Also, spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs are expected to use the in-kind redemption and creation process, which is intended to enhance trading effectiveness and liquidity.
Geraci believes both Bitwise and Grayscale crypto index ETFs will soon be approved to diversify investment products in the context of digital assets, reported CNF. He also expects the listing of the Bitwise Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF, comprising shares of companies that adopt Bitcoin as part of their business models. High investor interest is anticipated, with this fund reaching a more than $1 billion asset base.
Vanguard’s Potential Shift Toward Crypto ETFs
Another big change expected to occur in 2025 is the likelihood of Vanguard changing its position on crypto ETFs. Though an addition to conventional trading products, especially equities and bonds, the firm is expected to grant admission to Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. This move would be a major step in money-centered institutions embracing cryptocurrency investments.
